1995 Southeast Programming Contest
Contest staff
The 1995 ACM Southeast Regional Programming contest was held over
the weekend of November 17-18. It was hosted by the School of CIS
at the University of South Alabama, in Mobile. Forty schools from
Alabama, Mississippi, Georgia, Florida, South Carolina and
Louisiana sent over sixty teams to compete in this annual event.
This year the host school supplied computers and printing.
Contestants were allowed to solve the problems using Turbo Pascal
or Turbo C++. The international programming
contest will be held in February in Philadelphia during CSC'96.
The Southeast regional contest was won by the University of Miami, with the
University of Central Florida coming in second. Our region
received a wild card spot which went to third place Florida Institute of Technology (their
advisor has created a homepage with more details).
Next year's contest will be hosted by the University of Central Florida.
